We subscribe to the Statement of Faith of the Southern Baptist Convention which includes among others the following basic doctrinal beliefs:
1. We believe in the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, composed of the Old Testament and New Testaments, divinely inspired,
the all sufficient rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:19-21).
2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Exodus 20:2,3; I Corinthians 8:6; Revelation 4:11).
3. We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is the true God and perfect Man. He died on the cross for the sins of all people as a vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice. He resurrected bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.
4. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is , therefore, lost and under divine condemnation.
5. We believe that salvation is a free gift from God, entirely apart form man’s efforts, and is possessed by all who have by faith received/obey the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
6. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the repentant and believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and sacrifice.
7. We believe that the church, composed of all born-again believers, is mandated by its Head, Christ Himself, to “make disciples of all nations” and multiply itself by living, preaching and teaching the Gospel and “the whole counsel of God”.
8. We believe that the Lord’s Supper (Communion) and Water Baptism are the ordinances to be observed by the Church as mandated and exemplified by Christ Himself. They are not, however, to be regarded as a means to obtain salvation. (1 Corinthians 11:23-28; Romans 6:1-11).
9. We believe in the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to this earth to bring human history to a close and to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. This is the “blessed hope” of the believers.
10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
11. We believe that every local church has the right under Jesus Christ, its Head and Lord, to decide and govern its own affairs.
12. We respect denominational distinctive but believe in fellowshipping and working together with all fellow believers and Christ-centered and Bible-based churches.
